AWARDS PROGRAM
Annually, SNAPA celebrates members who work every day to ensure well-nourished students across the country are prepared for success. Below you will find information on our annual awards and scholarship program. We encourage you to nominate an employee, manager, and/or director you know to be recognized for all of their great contributions!
SNAPA recognizes outstanding contributions to the food service industry, in each of our member categories:
- Employee of the Year Award
- Manager of the Year Award, in honor of Louise Sublette
- Director of the Year Award
Individuals may be nominated by peers, staff, colleagues, or supervisors for these awards.
All state, regional and national SNA award winners are recognized at the State Awards Ceremony at SNA’s Annual National Conference (ANC) each year. Award winners will receive the following:
- State winners will receive a certificate and ribbon.
- Regional winners will receive a pin, certificate, and $50.
- National winners will receive a plaque and an all-expenses paid trip to ANC, worth up to $1,000.
PA School Nutrition Ally Award - This award is designed to recognize individuals who are not directly employed by a school nutrition program but have made significant contributions to the advancement and support of school nutrition in Pennsylvania. Nominees can be legislators, community members, school administrators, non-school nutrition employees, or other stakeholders who have shown exceptional dedication to student health and nutrition.
Nomination Deadline: June 25
Super Star Service Award - This award celebrates individuals who consistently exceed their job responsibilities, actively promoting school food service, SNAPA, and SNA. Nominees should have a deep passion for their work and a strong commitment to excellence in their district. Eligible nominees must have been members of SNAPA for at least three years and play an active role in their district's food service program.
